Outreach to Guanaja

This morning was a great time for me and our team. We were joined by three of our friends for morning devotions - Brother Elbert, Jerry, and Teddy. They joined us because they were getting ready to get on our boat and head to Guanaja for a week to do an outreach. Three men from the US along with Joe went to Guanaja to do an evangelistic outreach. I stayed behind to continue to work in Helene. At the end of the devotion we had a commissioning service. It was a refreshing time for me. Here stood before me three men that I had poured my life into over the past 3 years and they were going out without me to evangelize and declare Christ outside the borders of their safe little island. I felt like I was sending off some of my own disciples. During the time of praying for them I was moved with a sense of awe. God’sbeen reaching into their lives and reaching them to know Him and He had been teaching them to love Him, now He was sending them to love others. Satisfaction was not what I felt at that moment but it was a sense of honor that God would allow me to be a part of their lives.
